The family of Cirilo Sergio Silva has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Cirilo was born in Rio De Janiero, Brazil on 23 September 1947 and entered into Eternal Rest on 22 September 2019(one day before his 72nd birthday).

Cirilo was in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969 during Vietnam. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart for wounds suffered in combat. Other awards/citations that Cirilo received included the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Marksman/Expert Rifleman Badge. While in Vietnam he served together with his wife’s brother and cousin. Unfortunately, both the wife’s brother and cousin were killed in combat on the same day. Cirilo was honorably discharged as a SP4(E-4).

After the military, Cirilo spent most of his life as a Dairyman/Rancher in the Norco area. He was owner/operator of his own ranch and at one time managed one of John Wayne’s ranch in Arizona.

Cirilo’s pastimes/hobbies included collecting coins, going to the Casino and playing poker. In addition, on a yearly basis he would donate beef to Mary’s Table in San Bernardino.

Cirilo is survived by his wife of fifty-two years Diana and daughters De Anna and Tracy. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
