The family of James Joseph Moriarty has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so. This will be a Flag Line Only (FLO) at RNC.

James Moriarty was born on January 18, 1929 and passed on August 25, 2019. James was 90 at the time of his passing.

James served in the U.S. Navy from January 19, 1946 thru November 14, 1947. His rank was Seaman 2nd class at the time of his Honorable Discharge from military service. James was stationed on the USNAS Port Lyautey, French Morocco and USNARB, Devon England.

After his military career, James was a truck driver, bar owner, and real estate investor. James enjoyed spending time with his family and would organize vacations with the family to enjoy summer and snow vacations. He loved his wife and children and his sobriety. Many people thought it was interesting that a recovering alcoholic would own a bar.

His surviving family includes his wife Alice of 61 years, sons James, John and Patrick, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. Please respect the rules of the cemetery as we are guests at the Riverside National Cemetery.
