The family of Phillip Martinez Ramos, Sr, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his final military honors. It is our privilege to fulfill their request.
Phillip served from 06/43 to 11/45 in United States Army Air Corps and was honorably discharged as a Tec 5. He served during the Pacific Campaign in World War II. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon w/1 Bronze Star, Victory Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, and Good Conduct Medal.
After his return home from the war, he worked for Teledyne Wire & Cable, which eventually closed their operations in Southern California. Rather than retire, he called his son, Phillip Jr., Founder and Owner of Philatron Wire & Cable, and asked him if he had a position for him. Phillip Jr. welcomed his dad to join his company as Executive Vice-President. He contributed to the company for more than three decades, leaving an enduring legacy for both the company and its employees.
Phillip served as Mayor for the City of Montebello for three terms: 1976, 1980, and 1984. He also served as the City Treasurer from 1987 to 1995 and on the Planning Commission from 1963 to 1971. He was recognized for his integrity and business acumen, which helped move the city forward.
Phillip is preceded in death by his wife, Emma, and son, Joseph. He is survived by his two children, son, Phillip Jr., and daughter, Elizabeth, as well as 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces and cousins.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
