The family of Daniel Raymond Duarte has requested the Patriot Guard Riders in honoring the final journey on earth for their beloved father, grandfather and family member. It will be our honor to do so.

Daniel Raymond Duarte, 72, of Loma Linda, California died on July 21st, 2015 after a long battle with Agent Orange. He was born in San Bernardino, the middle son to Julius and Petra Duarte. He was educated at Fullerton High School before enlisting in The US Army in November of 1960. SP5 Duarte honorably served in Germany, and Vietnam in the 560th MP Company MAC-V and medically transferred to the US Army Reserves for 12 years. Danny went on to serve in the Army Reserves and to work for Cessna, Boeing and Lockheed Martin as an aircraft electrician and crew leader.

Danny was an avid community supporter after his medical retirement in 1994. He attended Faith Baptist Church, Living Waters Community, and First Baptist Church of Barstow. He made many mission trips to build wells and farms in Mexico, as well as to educate the next generation to live a servant-based lifestyle. He served as a Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America. He found solace from his PTSD by writing poetry at the Riverside Veterans Group.

He leaves behind his son Joshua, daughter Jessica and grandsons Gideon and Ezekiel. He also leaves behind his brothers - David of Napa and Dennis of Temecula. He was a proud uncle to Dennis, Danielle and Davin, Lauren and Michelle; and proud grand uncle to Ian, Colin, and Isabel.

The ashes of Mr. Duarte will be transported in his cousin’s Corvette (that's class) from the High Desert, but because of the continual traffic conditions in the Cajon Pass an accompaniment from that location is ill advised.

A public graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on August 26th, 2015 at 2 PM. Staging area 1 @ 1:45.

This is a Combat Related mission, there will be dog tags
