!!! STAND DOWN !!! - THE MISSION THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE PLACE THIS MORNING DID NOT.  THE PERSONNEL FROM MIRAMAR IN CHARGE OF THE WELCOME HOME/ARRIVAL DID NOT NOTIFY THE PGR THAT THE PLANE WAS RE-ROUTED TO MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE IN RIVERSIDE.  THIS IS AN UNFORTUNATE SITUATION AND WE REGRET THAT VOLUNTEERS WERE INCONVENIENCED, BUT THE PGR WAS IN NO WAY AT FAULT.  WE CAN ONLY POST/SHARE/NOTIFY IF WE ARE NOTIFIED, WE WERE NOT NOTIFIED.  IN THE EVENT THIS KIND OF THING HAPPENS PLEASE FEEL GOOD THAT YOU SHOWED UP WITH HONOR IN YOUR HEART FOR THESE HEROES, YOU DID YOUR JOB!

We have been invited by the Command and the FRO of these USMC Units to welcome home their brave Marines and Sailors who are returning from deployment, we are honored to be there!

These Units have been away from home and family for many months. They are returning to the States and deserve a Hero's welcome!

Please bring your smiles, handshakes, hugs, banners and flags and be prepared to thank them for their service and all that they do to keep us free and allow us to sleep safely in our beds at night.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Marine Units. This mission will not involve an accompaniment. We will greet these Marines with a Flag Line upon their arrival. Please see the time table below if you would like to participate.
