The family of Senior Chief Gangstad has asked the PGR to help them Honor him for his Loyal Service to our Great Nation. It is a Privilege and an Honor to accept this invitation.
 
SCPO Gangstad served 23 years of active duty in the United States Navy and after retiring from active duty he spent another 19 years as a trainer at Naval Training Center San Diego and 32nd St. Naval Base. Senior Chief also served during the Viet Nam Era.
 
Senior Chief Gangstad is survived by his wife, Ilena Diane Gangstad, daughter Angela Dawn Gangstad, son, Melvin Wayne Gangstad Jr., daughter-in-law, Shannon Gangstad and Five Grandchildren.
 
The Chapel and Graveside Service will be conducted at El Camino Memorial Park, Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd. San Diego, Ca. The PGR will present a Flag Line at the chapel for the transfer of our Hero into the Coach at 1230 and a Flag Line at the graveside at 1300. The Chapel and Cemetery are both located at the El Camino Memorial Park.
 
NOTE: This Mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in Honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be presenting a Flag Line and standing by for Full Military Honors in Honoring our Hero.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
