The family of Raymond Lloyd Rombough, 62, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the services of their loved one and to honor this American Hero. We are honored to do so.

Mr. Rombough enlisted in the U.S. Army on 22 January 1969. He faithfully served our country with valor as a tank mechanic attaining the rank of Specialist 5. His decorations include the Bronze Star Medal; the Army Commendation Medal with 1OLC; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; and the Marksmanship Medal on the M14. He served a tour of duty in the Republic of Vietnam from 6 June 1969 to 7 April 1970. He completed his military service and was honorably discharged 6 January 1972.

In civilian life he had a passion for our troops and veterans, he was the Past Commander of American Legion Post 56 from 84/85 and always enjoyed volunteering to assist the American Legion in any way he could. He very much enjoyed the great outdoors and could frequently be found camping and fishing near the waters of his blessed America .

He is survived by his wife Caryl; his 5 children, Christian, Logan, Lyndsay, Jennifer and Donald; three siblings, brother Matthew Rombough, and sisters Karen Sprauge and Joanie Shirley. He also has 4 grandchildren.
