The family of Monique Sanchez have requested the Patriot Guard Riders be with them as they celebrate the life and military service of their Hero.  It will be our honor to attend.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Monique Sanchez, a cherished sister, devoted mother, and a radiant soul who left us too soon. She departed this world on November 15, 2023.

Monique served in the United States Navy from 09/17/2001 to 09/16/2005 and was honorably discharged as an Boatswains Mate (BM) (E-4).  Her was stationed at Naval Station Everette in Everett, WA and was stationed on the USS Kidd (DDG-100) guided missile destroyer.

Born on August 8, 1983, Monique Sanchez brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around her from the very beginning. She was a beacon of kindness and strength, always striving to be the best in wherever she did, all for those she loved. Her bubbly spirit and caring nature endeared her to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Monique was a loving daughter, sister, and friend. She formed deep connections with those around her, creating a tapestry of memories that will forever be woven into the fabric of our lives. Her unwavering support and infectious laughter were a source of strength and comfort to those who were privileged to share their lives with her.

A Navy veteran and nurse-in-learning, Monique found solace and passion in her love of her dogs, country music, and at the beach. Whether it was during family or friend barbecues, at Warren High School where she played flute in the Jazz Marching Band, or at our local amusement parks, she approached life with a sense of adventure and always as an opportunity to bring everyone together.

In her professional life, Monique excelled in her differing professions, from a Navy Veteran, to a nurse-in-training. Her dedication and diligence earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and superiors alike. She approached her work with a strong will and determination to never give up, leaving a lasting impact on all who collaborated with her.

Beyond her professional achievements, Monique was deeply committed to her family. She took care of her siblings during challenging times and expressed that same care with her own children, embodying the spirit of compassion that defined her character.

While we mourn the loss of one of the brightest stars in our sky, Monique, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she led. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her parent, three siblings, her children, and those her beloved her. The legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind will continue to inspire us all.  May Monique Sanchez rest in eternal peace, and may her spirit continue to shine brightly in the sky of memories of those who loved her.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, this is a flag line only at the church.  For those who would like to participate, please see the timetable and we will meet you there.

"Blessed are the Peacemakers"

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes.  No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service.  Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
