The family of Richard William Kuhs has requested the Patriot Guard to pay Honors to this American Hero. It will be our distinct Honor to do so.
 
Richard completed his schooling working his way all thru and Graduating from the University of Wisconsin in Madison prior to enlisting as an Officer in the United States Army.
 
Richard Served in the 5th Special Forces Group Airborne and the 46th Special Forces Company Airborne in South East Asia. Richard also served in the 3rd Special Forces Group Airborne in Central and South America. South East Asia including clandestine operations in Laos and Vietnam.
 
In Panama Richard was assigned to command 2 A-teams in the 3rd Special Forces Group Airborne, including a HALO and Command Parachute team. Though he conducted some covert operations in that area, he mostly traveled through Central and South America where he conducted airborne training and worked with various foreign units.
 
Richard taught at the Jungle Survival School, trained with the Puerto Rico National Guard, set up an Airborne facility, and performed parachute demonstrations on behalf of the Southern Command. Rick made over 800 free fall jumps. Richard met with various presidents from Nicaragua, Panama, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia.
 
After leaving the Army Richard worked in the computer industry.
 
Richards hobbies included sailing, skiing, tennis, volleyball, kayaking, target shooting, archery, biking, and ballroom dancing.
 
Richard  was preceded in death by his first-born son Derek, his father Kelsey, and his mother Norma.
 
Richard will be interred with his Son Derek.
 
He is survived by his wife Gloria and his second born son Ryan.

Richard passed from throat cancer which he suspected was caused by exposure to Agent Orange.   Therefore, this is a Combat Related mission and there will be tags.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
