The family of Joseph Prospero Saavedra has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral and military honors of their Hero, we would be honored to do so.

Joseph Saavedra, 70, enlisted in the US Marine Corps in March, 1966 and served in Vietnam.  He was promoted to the rank of Corporal before his honorable discharge in February, 1972.

After serving in the military Joseph became proficient at repairing office machines and while working for a repair company, he serviced many machines on military installations.  He was man who loved the outdoors.  He loved boating, fishing, camping and passed the love of these things on to his children.  He was a single dad and loved Christmas and family BBQs just spending time with his family.  He also loved all kinds of music, from rock to disco, from oldies to present day.

Joseph is survived by his 4 children, 3 sons and a daughter, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and many extended family.  He will be remembered with love and laughter and dearly missed.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
