The family of Reggie “Jake” Jacobsen has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Jake quit high school in 1963 and joined the Navy where he would eventually earn his G.E.D.  He served until 1967, time which included service in Vietnam.

In civilian life Jake worked 36-years for Pacific Bell/AT&T in Los Angeles.  After retiring from the phone company he began a second civilian career working at KLM.  He retired from there last year due to his illness.

Jake was an avid camper, hunter and outdoorsman.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 149 in Escondido.  As an avid motorcycle rider, he was a Charter Member of the American Legion Riders Chapter 149 and the American Legion Riders Department of California.  He was also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and attended many mission in support of the families and the fallen.

Jake is survived by his wife Judy, son Joe, daughter Jamie and sister Terrie Jacobsen all of Escondido. Jake was preceded in death by his brother Bill Jacobsen, father Ray, and mother Lois Jacobsen.

The family has requested a Flag Line at American Legion Post 149 in Escondido as Jake is honored for his service.
