Per request of the family of Michael Austin Fidler the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) have been invited to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Michael joined the U.S. Navy and proudly serving his country from November 1958 to May 1960. Michael served on the USS Bremerton CA130. Michael was honorably discharged as a SR E1.

After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Michael worked as a mechanic, ventilation cleaner and pipe fitter

Michael's Hobbies were Motorcycles, Food, Races, swap meets, enjoying the family, CB Radios and was an extra in the Movie Big Bad Momma

Michael had a very difficult time the last few years of his life, finding himself homeless and out of touch with his family.  He was befriended by a very kind couple who took him in and cared for him through many devastating illnesses that he eventually succumbed to.

We are pretty certain that little or no family will be in attendance for his final goodbye, the PGR will stand as his family proudly.

Michael is survived by his 5 Daughters. 6 Grand children and 4 great Grand Children

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the chapel to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

The weather is predicted to be hot so please stay hydrated and don't forget to eat; it can make a difference with your ability to withstand the heat.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
