The family has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to accompany their Hero, Brenda "Pinky" Richardson, on her last ride, from her church in Corona, to the Long Beach VA where she worked for 24 years and then back to her church for her services. We are honored to do so.

Brenda sadly died of injuries received when she was struck by a hit & run driver while on her motorcycle. Fortunately, the suspect has since been caught.

Brenda served in the Navy from 1990 - 1994 as a boiler tender on a supply ship. After her service in the Navy, Brenda went to work with the VA in Long Beach for 24 years as a Clinical Applications Coordinator.

Brenda, is remembered by her family for her kind heart, and the love she had for everyone she met. She was known as "Pinky," both for her love of the color pink and her habit of using her pinky to wave at passing motorcycles. She and her husband were in the middle of launching a nonprofit to get kids into sports when she died.

She loved being a mom to her 8 children, riding motorcycles, camping, hanging out with friends, traveling, and spending time with her husband Rod.

Pinky is survived by her husband Rod, 8 children, a very large extended family and a multitude of friends.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and her family from the church services to her place of employment in Long Beach and back to the church. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

NOTE: PLEASE BE FUELED UP AND READY TO GO - DISTANCE APPROX 84 MILES ROUNDTRIP
