The family of Otha Lee Nolley, 66, US Army has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the military honors their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Otha was born 09 June 1959, in Jonesboro, Louisiana where he was raised in the close knit community of Green Grove, where he accepted Christ, and baptized at the age of nine, from then it shaped his life as steady humble, and always attentive to the needs of others, and passed away 05 March 2026 at his home in Lockwood, CA at the age of 66.

After graduation from Goldanna High, he enlisted in the US Army on 26 July 1978, to later join the Army National Guard to complete his service at the rank of Sgt in 1984. His awards / citations include Overseas Service Ribbon, M-16 Expert Rifle, Army Achievement, and Good Conduct Medals.

After Otha’s honorable discharge from the military, he continued serving his country by holding a career for the US Government at Fort Hunter Liggette, California totaling his service for over 34 years, where he treasured his final position as Range Maintenance Supervisor, often speaking with gratitude about his team, and how blessed he felt about his work, and the love shared with his his family, and the people of Lockwood.

Otha is survived by his mother, Vidilea Nolley, siblings; Teresa Hall, Essie Polard, Tony Nolley, his cousin Carolyn Jackson, who proudly called sister, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this veteran.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be meet the hero and his family at Riverside National Cemetery.  Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, where you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car).

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep the radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
