The family of Edward Rivera has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to Honor their Hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Edward Rivera, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and service.
Born July 19, 1933, Edward lived a life marked by devotion to his family and an unwavering commitment to his country. As a Korean War Veteran, he served his nation honorably, earning the National Defense Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, and the Navy Occupation Medal. His military service stands as a testament to his courage and dedication, qualities that nourished every aspect of his life.
Beyond his professional life as a hardworking truck driver, Edward was a man of many passions. Music was his constant companion, whether he was singing, dancing, or playing his harmonica and clarinet. He had a playful spirit and a knack for bringing laughter to any room. His love for sports, including boxing, fishing, handball and racquetball, kept him young at heart. These passions, combined with his humor and endearing sweet tooth, painted the picture of a man who embraced life fully.
Edward’s greatest pride was his 72-year marriage to his beloved wife, Rosalina Rivera, who preceded him in death. Together, they raised seven children: Monica Mena, Rosalina Mojarro, Elizabeth Medina, Veronica Calderon, Maria Salcido, Edward Rivera JR., and Lillian McCormick. His brother Pablo Griffith. His legacy continues through his numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who carry forward the values he instilled. Edward’s spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him.
