The family of LaVerne Wynn, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their hero’s final journey. We are honored to fulfill this request.

LaVerne (Known as Wynn) enlisted in the US Marine Corps, 8 August 1953 and was honorably discharged 27 August 1957, at the rank of Sergeant.
Sgt. Wynn served and fought in the Korean War as an infantryman and received the following honors: National Defense Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.

As a civilian, our hero worked for 27 years for the Dept. of water and power as an electrician, retiring at the age of 55.

His hobbies and interests included riding his Goldwing as a member of the G.W.R.R.A. Van Nuys Chapter. He also loved fishing and touring the US in his RV with his wife Judy.

Wynn is survived by his bride of 40 years, Judy. He also leaves behind 4 stepchildren: Kimberly, Jeff, Ken and Michael and a daughter, Katrina, from a previous marriage. 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren will remember him as well.
