The family of Kenneth Robert Harrington has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to
honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Kenneth proudly served in the United States Marine Corp 1981-1989 achieving the rank of Sgt.
He was assigned to Raider Company 1 st Marine Division. He earned Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol
Marksman/Expert Badge, Letter of Appreciation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (w/1 star),
Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon.

Kenneth worked as a HVAC Technician and enjoyed adventurous and active activities. He was a
Master Scuba Diver, loved the ocean, hiking, all things outdoors and spending time with his
daughter at La Jolla Shores/La Jolla Cove. He loved to travel the world’s oceans to dive with
sharks.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter; Lindsay Harrington, Birth Father; Robert Harrington, Birth
Mother; Evelyn Heck, Step Mother; Shirley Harrington, Step Father; James Heck, Sisters; Geri
Lynn, Karen, Susie. Brother; Willie, Bub & Jimmy. 15 Nieces and Nephews.

It was Kenneth’s wishes to be returned to the sea.

The family is requesting an accompaniment from the family residence to the Naval Medical
Center.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military
Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying our
hero and his family from the family home to the Balboa Naval Hospital, approx. 15 miles. Please see the timetable if you
would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission, all PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
