The family of Robert Bazan, 66, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the service of their loved one and to honor this American Hero; we are honored to do so.
 
Robert Bazan passed away on February 22, 2014. The Bazan family has requested a flag line and accompaniment on Saturday March 1, 2014. Robert was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Army 67-69 as a SPs 4 11B20, Infantry 8th Army. He was awarded the VSM, NDSM, SPS M-14, MKM M-16, MKM M-60, AFEM, GCMDL, CIB, AM.
 
Robert left behind his wife Maria Elena, several sons & daughters as well as a number of brothers & sisters. He will be missed by all.
 
The services will be held at the Saint John Newman Catholic Church, 966 West Orchard Street, Santa Maria, 93454. His arrival will be at 9:00am with the Mass starting at 9:30am. Directly after the services an accompaniment will be needed. The destination will be the VFW Post hall on 200 East Battles Rd. Santa Maria, 93454, where another flag line will be set up. Robert was a member of several Veterans organizations in the Santa Maria area. This will be a rain or shine mission. Please help us honor his service.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral services. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
