Part 1 of 2 Parts

The family of SPC Lance L. Casas, 32, and the US Army, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be at the airport as their Hero arrives home to his family in So Calif for burial and final honors. We are privileged to do so.

SPC Casas was serving with the US Army assigned to Unit 1-505th Paratrooper, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne at Ft Bragg, NC at the time of his passing. He was well liked and respected by all his fellow soldiers in arms.  Known for being very uplifting and supportive of all those that he worked with.

Lance was a great father to four wonderful children and a devoted husband and best friend to his wife Mary.  He couldn't stop talking about his family and all their joys they had together.  His favorite thing was spending time with his family, and his second favorite thing was anything Star Wars.  He had quite a collection of SW memorabilia, and it just makes sense he became a paratrooper.

SPC Casas is survived by his 4 children, his wife Mary, and many other family members and his brotherhood of fellow Soldiers.  He is dearly missed and will never be forgotten.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero and his family from the airport to the funeral home, approx 37 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. If you prefer to meet the procession at the funeral home please feel free to do so.

Details for Part 2, Funeral & Military Honors at RNC to be posted when details confirmed
