The family of SFC Johnny Wayne Bryant, age 75, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral service for their Hero, it will be our honor to do so.

Johnny Wayne Bryant enlisted in the US Army on Dec 4, 1958 and served 21 years until his retirement on Dec 31, 1979 at the rank of Sergeant First Class.  He served as an MP (Military Police) at various duty stations including Germany and Vietnam.  He served in Vietnam with the 25th MP Unit.

After the military Johnny owned his own 18 wheeler and drove cross country trucking for many years.  He enjoyed several hobbies outside of work, restoring old cars was one he loved to do, in fact he was working on one when he became ill just before passing away.  He also loved woodworking and made many precious things for the family over the years, including cradles for the babies that were born into the family.  He was always very proud of his military service and belonged to the American Legion, but his greatest passion the last few years of his life was staying in touch with his old Vietnam unit, the 25th MPs, and going to their reunions, this brought him a lot of joy and comfort being with his battle buddies.

Mr. Bryant is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Irma, who is from Germany, they met and married when he was a young soldier stationed there.  He is also survived by their four children, Sheila, Vikki, Raymond and Tom, and 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
