Per request of Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona, the family of Col Glenn C. Johnson, 98, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.

It will be our honor to do so.

Glenn served in the U.S. Air Force from 1941 to 1966 and was honorably retired as a full bird Col. He served in WWII and during the Korean and Vietnam War. Glenn was a triple rated bombardier, navigator and radar operator. He was a crew member aboard the B-24, B-25, B-17, B-29, B-47 and the B-52. He was on the team that brought the B-52 in to the Air Force and would go on to be apart of the first non-stop flight of the B-52 around the world. Glenn also served as a maintenance officer.

After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a commercial plumber. He had always been interested in wood working and made furniture and many gavels and gavel boxes. Glenn was also very active in his Masonic Lodge.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Glenn is survived by his 2 daughters Martha and Jane and his son Glenn II.  He has 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
