The family of Alfred & JoAnn Gillard has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Heroes for their service to their country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

JoAnn passed 2017 and Alfred passed 2020.  It was Alfred's wishes that JoAnn and he be buried together side by side.  JoAnn was cremated and Alfred lived 3 more years until passing on 2020,  he was then cremated.  Due to COVID-19 funerals were put on hold.  The family wanted to wait until they could receive proper military honors for serving their country.

Alfred proudly served in the US Navy 22 ½ years, 1965 to 1985, retiring with the rank of 1st Class Petty Officer.  He earned the National Defense service medal and Navy Good Conduct Medal.  He then worked for the VA Hospital for 20 years and retired from there.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

JoAnn also proudly served in the US Navy 1964 to 1966 achieving the rank of Seaman.  She then worked for the Navy exchange for 30 years.  She enjoyed Bingo, Arts and Crafts and also spending time with her family.

They both leave behind 2 daughters Penny Lee Krebs and Jean Louis Clough, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
