The family of LCDR Robert James Robertson has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Robert was born on 26 September 1923 and entered into Eternal Rest on 1 July 2021.

In 1941, when war seemed imminent, LCDR Robertson (known as "Robbie") enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served 27 years to his country (January 16, 1941 until he retired as a Lieutenant Commander on January 31, 1968). A WWII and Korean War veteran, he served on 8 ships and received 10 medals.

After his military service, Robbie continued his career with General Dynamics, Pomona, as a Missile Engineer, working with the Navy Missile Program.  He retired from General Dynamics in 1978.  He was a 71-year member of the Catholic Church Organization, the Knights of Columbus, serving in many positions, including Grand Knight for two terms.  In his 42 years of retirement, Robbie had the opportunity to golf, travel the world, relax and enjoy his family and community. Robbie lived a long and fulfilling life dedicated to God, country and family.

Robbie is preceded in death by a brother, William J. Robertson, who passed at 59; a son, James P. Robertson, who tragically died in an accident at 25; and, a daughter, Carol A. Robertson, who passed at 67. Robert is survived by his wife of 74 years, Gloria E. Robertson of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, his sons, Raymond of Coos Bay, OR, and Daniel of Hesperia; his daughters, Margaret Robertson and Eileen R. Lindermann, both of Rancho Cucamonga.
