The family of Dr Andrew A. Roth has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for his funeral service and military honors, it will be our honor to do so.

Dr. Andrew Roth served in the U S Army during the Vietnam War as a battle surgeon for 2 years, 1967 & 1968 during the Tet Offensive, one of the periods of the war with the highest casualties.  He undoubtedly saved countless American lives.  He received the following awards and medals, NDSM (National Defense Service Medal), VCM (Vietnam Campaign Medal), VSM (Vietnam Service Medal), Army Commendation Medal.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain.

After his military service, Dr Roth went into private practice in Los Angeles, specializing in orthopedic surgery and had a renown reputation as an excellent doctor.  He was still a practicing doctor up until he became ill.

Dr Roth enjoyed many things outside of work, family, friends, volunteering on several boards including the foundation for Los Angeles National Cemetery.  He also enjoyed world travel, the arts, museums, theatre, symphony, and opera.

Dr Roth & his wife Gail are parents of a Fallen Hero, SPC Daniel Cagle, US Army that was killed in Iraq on 23 May 2007, the PGR was there to honor their son when he came home and for his funeral.
