The family and friends, as well as one of our own, Jon Hemp, have requested the Patriot Guard Riders to pay honors to another brother from the Vietnam War who has passed over the bridge.  It will be our honor to do so.

John Cinqueman was born on November 16,1950.  John graduated from high school in June in 1969.  The following year on May 20, 1970, John entered into the service in the United States Army.  After completing his time in boot camp, John was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 42nd Artillery unit (ARTY) and then was ushered off to Vietnam. He served a year in country.  While in service, John earned the following medals and awards:  the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 stars, Vietnam Campaign Service Medal with 60 Device, Army Commendation Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.  As the war was winding down, John was given an early discharge from the Army for time served.  He was honorably discharged on December 4, 1971 at the rank of SP4 (E-4).

After John's time in the service and getting back to civilian life, he decided to start working on cars, and also became a laser technician.  On his off time, John loved to go camping, riding quads, and Harleys.  He also dabbled in electronics, and became a certified Ham radio operator.

John passed away on January 4, 2025, joining his wife who passed in 2007, and is already at Riverside National Cemetery.  He leaves behind his family: daughter, Dani Bell, and son, Darrol .  He will also be missed by seven grandchildren, four siblings, and his lifelong friend, Jon Hemp.

NOTE:  Our hero, and the family will be arriving at two separate times so we will adjust ourselves accordingly.

"Standing For Those Who Stood For Us

Only two defining forces offered to die for you:
Jesus Christ, and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other died for your freedom.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes.  No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service.  Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum.  Observe the 15 MPH speed limit.  Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground.  Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
