The family of Ronald Matthew Wing has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Ronald Joined the United States Navy 25 August 1948 and served honorably until he retired in 1967. Ronald was a Corpsman (HM2) and earned the rank of E5, Second Class Petty Officer. During this time, He earned the Good Conduct Medal 4b award, National Defense Service Medal (two awards), Vietnam Service Medal, and Korean Service Medal.
After his time in the military, Ronald worked 25 years with Kaiser Permanente as an Orthopedic Technician and then went on to become an LVN. He retired at 65 and went to work as a greeter and checker for 17 years at Target. He eventually left work to care for his ailing wife. After his wife’s passing, he spent a lot of time in his favorite hobby, gardening.
Ronald lived to be five weeks shy of his 95th birthday and is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn of 62 years. He will also be missed by two sons, three stepchildren, one sister, and his parents. Ronald and Evelyn had more grandchildren and great-grandchildren than they could count!

For those who would like to participate, please see the timetable and we will meet you there.

(619) 277-5176You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
