The family of Allen Neff has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard to pay Honors to this American Hero. It will be our honor to do so.
Allen died on January 31 at his home after a long battle with prostate cancer.
He grew up in a strong Christian home in Curwensville, Pennsylvania. As a child, he played Army Rangers with his childhood friends and learned to play the saxophone. In high school, he played in a jazz band and played for local events. He earned a degree in Nursing and became a Board Certified Assistant and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He retired honorably from the Air Force in 1991 and had obtained the rank of Captain.
After his service, he worked as a nurse in South Dakota, Florida, Texas and Tennessee. He then changed career paths and worked in commercial real estate for Popeye’s and Church’s Chicken.
In his later years, his greatest pride came from serving as a Colonel in the Tennessee State National Guard, the All Forces Honor Guard, Team 21, the Air Force Veterans Honor Guard and Team 38 at the Riverside National Cemetery. He felt it was a true privilege to perform military honors for deceased veterans and passionately carried out those duties.
He was a patriot, a man that loved God, his country, and his family. Allen always felt honored to do whatever he could to protect his family and their rights.He was a good man and loving father, with high morals, great integrity, and a strong faith in God. He was trustworthy, slow to anger, gracious in love, and a true friend to all that knew him.
Allen is survived by his three children, Jeremy Neff, Heather Holmes, Dustin Neff and three grandchildren.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and her family from the mortuary services to her final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
