The family of Maurice Molina “Mario” Acuna has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.   It will be our privilege to do so.

Mario Acuna, 38, served in the US Marine Corps’ Provost Marshal’s Office.   He served in the War on Terror with a deployment to Iraq.  At the time of his honorable discharge he had attained the rank of Sergeant.

In his post military career Mario continued serving his country by joining the US Marshal’s Office where he was a member of the SWAT team.

Mario was engaged and leaves behind his fiancée and 4 children.

The family has requested an accompaniment from a church service at Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala in Mission Valley to an 1130 committal service at Miramar National Cemetery, a distance of approximately 10 miles.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
