The family of Gilbert O. McGhee has invited the PGR to attend the services for their loved one.  We are honored to attend.

Gilbert served his country with the Army in Vietnam from 1966-1968.  While there he was awarded the Vietnam Campaign medal and the National Defense medal.  He was honorably discharged as a Sp5 (E-5).

After his service, he worked for General Electric until retirement.  He enjoyed passing his time as a handyman, tinkering on cards and gardening.  He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Gilbert is survived by his partner Stella, a son, step children, and grandchildren.  Gilbert is also an extended family member of our PGR brother, Candelario “Candyman” Rodriguez.

The mission will consist of a procession into the chapel, flags held high, and the folding and presentation of the flag to his widow.  PGR will then exit the chapel and be dismissed.  Anyone wanting to remain for the service is welcome.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

Time Table for Thursday, 10 AUG 2017:

0930 - Stage at Campus Hill Church, 11057 Hill Drive, Loma Linda, CA 92354. (Parking for PGR will be reserved near the church.  This church is on the campus of Loma Linda University and Medical Center.  Parking will be at a premium so doubling or tripling up in parking spaces will helpful.)  https://goo.gl/maps/SShoWWsfxvA2
