This will be a 2 Part mission

The family and the US Army have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the arrival and the services for CPL Frederick G. Collins, Jr.  We will be honored to do so.

CPL Frederick G. Collins Jr. served in the US Army in the Philippines with 263rd Quartermaster Company, Quartermaster Corps during WWII.

CPL Frederick G. Collins was captured by the Japanese during the Battle of Bataan and held in a prison camp where he died of an undisclosed illness on 19 November, 1942.  His family had no idea what had happened to him, he was listed as Missing in Action.  It was discovered later that he was buried with 13 other Americans in a common grave.  He was later disinterred and buried in an American Cemetery in the Philippines.

In 2014 our Government began to research these deaths in an attempt to identify them and return these Heroes to their families.  CPL Collins was identified through DNA on June 02, 2016 and is now coming home for a proper Hero's burial.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the airport to the mortuary, approximately 16 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there.
