The family of SGT John V. Odle, U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero for his service and his sacrifice to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

John served his country in WWII as a Sergeant Tank Commander with 738th Armor Division Company D. John's Company was actively involved in the "Battle of the Bulge" in which his Battalion received a Unit Citation from The Belgian government. Sergeant Odle received 3 Bronze Stars during his participation in the war.

After the war John worked as a union carpenter for 60 years. If you had a wood project chances are John would want in on it. In his spare time John could be found in Vegas at one of the many crap tables taking his chances at winning big.

John is survived by his son David and David's wife Leigh Ann, grandson David Jr. And Brother Bill.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
