David Betti, USMC, Vietnam, Ventura - 9 MAY 2015
« on: May 05, 2015, 08:59:33 PM »
The family of David Betti have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this Hero for his service to our country. It will be our privilege to do so.

David served on active duty in the United State Marine Corps from 25Jun69 to 26Jun71 and then four additional years in the Marine Reserves. David rose to the rank of Corporal. He was awarded the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Combat Action Ribbon and the Rifle Marksmanship Badge.

David is survived by his wife, three children and four grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters. He had developed an interest in playing the drums as early as middle school and continued to play them his entire life. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and anything to do with the great outdoors. After the Marine Corps, Dave worked in the oil fields, drove trucks and later on became a school bus driver.

David also served as President of the Vietnam Veterans of Ventura County. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion.

David’s death was brought on by complications due to Agent Orange exposure while in deployed to Vietnam.

The PGR will accompany our Hero and his family from the funeral home to the cemetery. We will then stand a flag line for our Hero at the gravesite and be present as his final military honors are rendered.

NOTE: This Hero's death is Combat Related so dog tags have been ordered and will be available.
