The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to help honor a Fallen Hero, and accompany him on his journey home.   It will be our privilege to do so.

PV2 Alan Altamirano, 23, of Lakewood, Washington unfortunately died in a car accident in Kern County on May 8, 2015.  PV2 Altamirano will be transported from Shafter, CA in Kern County to San Diego County and his hometown of El Cajon, CA.

The PGR in Kern County will begin the process by accompanying PV2 Altamirano to a meeting point in LA County where they will meet up with the SoCal PGR.  An Orange County group will receive the Hero and continue south until they meet with a San Diego contingent who will accompany PV2 Altamirano on the final leg of his journey to El Cajon.

Please feel free to attend any or all parts of this mission.

Note: This mission will consist of numerous fuel stops (2-3) and rush hour traffic. Bring patience, water, and ability to change on the fly.  Be safe. All times are estimates depending on traffic and route.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero on his final journey home. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary in El Cajon, we will meet you there.
