The family of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Alfredo “Freddy” Flores and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department invites the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their loved one’s funeral services.  It is an honor to accept this invitation.

Deputy “Freddy” Flores graduated from academy class #327 and honorably served the residents of Los Angeles County for 22 years.  He will forever be remembered.  He loved working for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and dedicated his life to proudly serving and protecting his community.  He was assigned to several units during his tenure, including the North County Correctional Facility, Operations Safe Jails, Altadena Station, and, most recently the Sylmar Juvenile Court at Court Services West Bureau.  He made a unique contribution to all these assignments.

Freddy was left severely injured following an incident on 10 October 2023 at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic.  While working a mobile shooting range, built inside a 53-foot semi-trailer, the equipment he was using malfunctioned, resulting in an explosion and massive fire.

Sadly, after valiantly fighting for his life, Deputy Flores succumbed to his injuries on 20 April 2024.

Freddy was an amazing and loving husband, father, son, and brother.  Freddy is survived by his wife, Margarita; sons, Adrian Gadea (24) and Nathanial Flores (21); daughters, Kayla Flores (26) and Victoria (Baby V), and Faith Flores (8).  He also leaves behind his parents and siblings.
