The family of William C. Beggs, age 94,  has requested the Patriot Guard to pay Honors to this Hero, one of the Greatest Generation. It will be our distinct privilege to do so.

William served in the US Navy during WWII. His most significant Battle was Iwo Jima, he served 1943 to 1946. William was a Navy Seabee in a Construction Battalion assigned to the Marine Corps and was with them when they landed on Iwo Jima.

In civilian life William  got the knack for working on computers so he went into computer programming very early in the industry, in the 60's and remained in that all his life until retirement.

William loved to ride his motorcycles, most notably his Indian Chief.  When William officially  retired  he learned to play the organ and did many performances, with musicians as well as his friends. William also loved photography and found out he was quite good at it.

William is survived by his wife Donna and 2 daughters Nancy and Judy.

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place.
