The family of Eric Dwayne Wixom, age 67, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany the Hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place and honor his military service, we will be honored to do so.

Eric Wixom enlisted in the US Navy on 28 Jul 1977 and served aboard the USS Ajax for part of his enlistment in the Asian-Pacific waters. He served 5 years proudly and was honorably discharged on 27 Jul 1982 at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class.

After the military Eric worked in Retail for most of his life.  He always loved the military and the history involved, especially World War II.  At the time of his passing he had amassed quite an extensive library of German/Nazi history which has been graciously accepted by the March Air Reserve Base Museum in his memory.  In addition to his love of history, he also loved collecting coins.

Eric is survived by his mother Shirley Joy Breakey and his sister Carol Ann.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
