The family of Machinist Mate Master Chief Meredith Franklin Minor, age 83, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders honor him at his services, we would be honored to do so.
 
MMCM Minor enlisted in the US Navy in 1953, and served in both Korea and Vietnam in his 23 years served, until his retirement in 1976.  He served aboard 9 destroyers and 2 aircraft carriers during these years, some of them were USS Enterprise, USS Bon Homme Richard, USS Mansfield, USS Hull, USS Edison, USS Chandler and USS Jenkins. 
 
After retiring from the Navy, MCPO Minor became an engineer and worked 11 years with Westin Hotels and 15 years with UC Irvine until his final retirement.
 
Mickey Minor loved riding his Harley and was highly trained in doing so, in fact he was the Stunt Coordinator for a professional group of precision riders called Victor McLaglen Motor Corps and performed with them for many years.  He also loved playing the guitar and country music.
 
Mickey was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, and is survived by 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
