The family and the VCFD have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend services for Engineer Ryan Osler and honor him for his service, we would be honored to do so.
 
Engineer Ryan Osler, 38 years of age, served proudly with Ventura Fire Station 42 in Moorpark. Ryan began work for the department in 1998 as a member of VCFD's Handcrew, he was then hired as a Trainee in 2006 and promoted to the rank of Fire Engineer six years later.
 
Engineer Osler was providing support for the Canyon Fire in Santa Barbara County on September 21, 2016, when the fire apparatus he was in was involved in a traffic accident.
 
Engineer Ryan Osler is survived by his wife and two children, a daughter and a son.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Community Hero and First Responder.

IMPORTANT: THIS IS FLAG LINE ONLY. Because of the size of the Fire Procession we will not be riding with the procession.  We will have a Flag line into the Driveway entrance of the Church. Parking is very limited, Parking is All OFF-SITE. We will then have a Flag line when the services are over, move to Conejo Mountain Cemetery For a Flag line at the entrance of the cemetery.  If you have any questions contact the R/C below.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. Car Parking Is Limited. If this will be your first mission, go to the staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please ride/drive safely.
