Thomas John Urich, 87, USAF, Korea, FLO LANC - 12 AUG 2022

The family of Tom Urich and his American Legion Post 43 Comrades have invited the PGR to participate in his final military honors. We are proud to be of service on this occasion.

Tom joined the USAF in 1954 and served during the Korean conflict era. He discovered a love of acting as he toured military installations performing for his fellow servicemen. His enlistment was cut short as a result of a refueling jet crash. Following his service to his country, he attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music where he honed his performing “chops” and met the love of his life, Judith McCauley.

He enjoyed a long career on and off Broadway as well as acting in commercials and television shows. He was active in the American Legion and was a past Commander of Post 43, Hollywood. He was also active in his church, St John Borromeo, as a Lector. His was an avid Buckeyes and Mets fan and cherished the role of Dzedo to his five young grandsons.

Our hero is survived by his wife of 56 years and frequent co-star, Judith McCauley Urich. He is also survived by his sister, Monica Rauch, brother David, sons John Christian and Justin, and five grandsons. He was preceded by his younger brother, actor Robert Urich.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, please see the time table if you would like to participate.
