The family of James Oscar Gravitt have asked the PGR to be with them as they bid farewell to their hero. It is our honor to do so.

James was born on 3 September 1948 and entered into eternal rest on 20 February 2020.
He enlisted in the US Army during the Vietnam War, serving between 23 January 1968 and 15 January 1970, and became an Imjen Scout on the DMZ, achieving the rank of Specialist 4.  He received 3 Presidential Unit Citations and The National Defense Medal.

After the Army James worked for Verizon for 34 years. He loved riding quads in Glamis, casinos, fishing in Oregon and building and driving hot rods.

James is survived by his wife Debi, daughters April Fisher and Aimee Gravitt, and stepson Chad Carter, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers Don, Billy and Ernie and sisters Nancy Matsen, Mary Henderson, Frances Epstein, Doris Chawalsky and Betty Braun.

I expect to pass through life but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do for any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain.) Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car.) Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Hero’s. No talking, smoking or cell phone use during the Flag Line or Service. Please keep radios and cell phones off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe all speed limits. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
