The family of Richard S. Cook has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their Hero and be present for his final services, we would be honored to do so.
 
Richard S. Cook enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January, 1951 at the age of 19, and served until December of 1954, during the Korean War.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of AO3.
 
After his military service, Richard worked in manufacturing where he excelled and eventually became the president of two companies.
 
Richard loved to play golf and travel with his wife and family.
 
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Patti, his children Karen Miner, Rick Cook, Eileen Cook Spatz, Jim Schell, Brian Schell, Bridget Campbell, 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from family residence to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

1000 - KSU to family residence

1100 - Est arrival at RNC
 
1115 - KSU to assigned shelter for Flag Line, Service and Military Honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
