Short Notice - Larry Rouse, 42, USMC, Palm Springs– 7 SEP 2014
« on: September 05, 2014, 07:05:16 PM »
The family of Larry Rouse, 42, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the services of their loved one and to honor this American Hero. We are honored to do so.

Larry was a 21-year resident of California and a one-year resident of Palm Desert. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1993 to 2001 and made the rank of Staff Sargent at the time of his discharge. While serving in the Marines he was an EOD Tech, who was Stationed in 29 Palms with special details to provide support to high level visitor events. An example of this was when the Dali Lama came to visit in Washington D.C.

After his service, he worked as a deputy for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Larry also worked as a Veterans Service Officer for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

He loved spending time with his family, pets and friends, playing board games with his son, working out and making all who knew him laugh. Larry was a loving father, brother, son and friend.

He is survived by son Vincent Allen Rouse of Landers; daughter Aleksandra Adkins of Sanford, North Carolina; mother Barbara “Carol” Gilleland of Tyler, Texas; brother Daniel Radford of Tyler, Texas; aunt Lana and uncle Curt Biggers of Tyler, Texas; and grandmother “Mamma” Margaret Shick of Tyler, Texas.
