The family of Lawrence George LaValley, age 62, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his service and military honors, we are honored to do so.

Lawrence "Larry" LaValley enlisted in the US Navy in July, 1972 and served honorably until discharge in July, 1975 at the rank of E3.  He was stationed during Vietnam on the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea as an aircraft mechanic, and he also assisted in the evacuation of Saigon at the end of the war.

Larry was a Harley rider all of his adult life and he loved to ride with his brothers of the club he co-founded, the Ugly Brothers MC.  His wife also rides and will be riding his Harley the day of his funeral in his honor.  Larry was also known by his brothers and others as Papa Bear.

Larry is survived by his wife Cathy, sons Jacob and Kevin, daughters Shannon and Jennifer, and 7 grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
