URGENT! Short Notice- HN Aaron Buford, USN (AD), Yucca Vly/Los Angeles 27 AUG 16

UPDATE:  It is estimated the procession will be passing the Milliken Avenue on ramp to the west bound I-10 in Ontario at approximately 3:15 to 3:20 am.   If you would like to join this mission at this point please be at the on ramp ready to go at that time. 

Additionally, any members who wish to meet at the airport staging location should be ready with a flag line as the procession arrives.  Arrival time is estimated to be 4:45 am, so please be staged and ready for a flag line 15-30 mins earlier. 



This will be a muti-part mission in CA & NC.
 
Part 1
 
The U.S. Navy and the family of HN Aaron Dominique Buford, 24, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany this Hero from the mortuary to the airport as he travels home to his family in North Carolina.  We will be honored to do so.

HN Buford of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was a Hospitalman in the US Navy.  He was assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD).  Sadly he passed away in San Diego while on Active Duty.
 
Part 1 will consist of accompanying this Hero from the mortuary in Yucca Valley, approximately 135 miles to Los Angeles International Airport as he travels home to North Carolina.
 
PGR in North Carolina has been invited to receive this Hero at the airport in Charlotte and accompany him to the mortuary near his home town. 
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero from the mortuary to the Airport. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.  If you would rather go directly to the airport, we will meet you there.

0500 – Flag Line for dignified transfer of Hero immediately upon arrival

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
