The family of Wayne Robert " Boots" Brooks (Sgt USAF) has invited the PGR to honor their Hero with an accompany to Bakersfield National Cemetery for his military honors, it will be our honor to do so.

Wayne was born on 3 Mar 1957 and passed 5 Mar 2017 in Ridgecrest, CA of a long hard fought illness.

Wayne entered the USAF in 1974 and served until 1984. Wayne was trained as a USAF Supervisor for Terrorist and Airbase Ground Defense mostly in Europe. He was awarded Air Force Longevity Service Award, Combat Readiness Metal, National Defense Ribbon, Marksmanship Ribbon for both small arm and rifle.

Wayne always had a smile and would help anyone in need and not expect anything in return. He loved to cook, dance, hike, Nascar races, off road racing, wood working, and anything to do outdoors. His favorite music was any "Pink Floyd" songs and loved to listen to "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. He loved life and was never a quitter. He was the Warrior and leader one would want to go into battle with.  Wayne was a kind and strong man. All through his life he was always so humble and respected all living things.

Wayne is survived by his mother, stepfather, 3 daughters (Alofa, Aniva, Katy), 2 sisters, and a loving friend (Kathy).
A graveside service will be held at the Bakersfield National Cemetery on 10 April 2017 at 1045 with full Military Honors.
