The family of Karl Lionel Bernstein, 91, has invited the PGR to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Karl was a proud member of the Greatest Generation.  A PFC and Mortar Crewman in the US Marine Corps, Karl fought and served in WWII in the Asiatic Pacific.  He participated in action on Saipan, Tinian, Okinawa, Marianas Islands and the Ryukyu Islands, Japan.

In civilian life Karl worked in maintenance for the cities of Santa Monica, Santa Barbara and Goleta.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, his children, many grandchildren and an extended family.
