The family of Kenneth Shinedling has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to pay Honors on their Hero's final journey home. It will be our honor to do so.

Ken was 72 years old at the time of his death. He was born July 17, 1945, and passed on February 6, 2018.

Ken served in the United States Army from September 20, 1967 to September 19, 1973, half of that time in the reserves.  He served in Vietnam, and attained the rank of Sergeant. He received the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, M-14 Marksman Badge, and Combat Infantry Badge.

After his discharge he worked as a licensed CPA for almost 50 years.

Ken was active in the community, coaching and teaching soccer for 32 years.

His interests included attending school events, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, hockey, basketball, swimming, football, and choir in support of his children.

He is survived by 8 children, 22 grandchildren, and 2 brothers.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
