The family of SPC Derek Hardister has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral to honor this Hero. It will be our honor to do so.

Derek enlisted in the California Army National Guard on 8 September 2013 and served until his passing on 19 August 2018. Derek served 2 tours in Kuwait. He worked as a Black Hawk Mechanic. SPC Hardister received the following during his time in Service, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M device.  He had achieved the rank of Specialist.

Derek spent his civilian life working at Los Alamitos Joint Air Force Base, Blackhawk Mechanic, Motorcycle Mechanic at NoPork Motorcycle Shop, Tire Technician at Americas Tire Store.

Derek loved riding motorcycles, working on anything motorcycle or truck related, traveling, working out, and being with Friends and Family and his cat Pepper.

Sadly Derek passed in a motorcycle accident, he loved to ride, and several of his riding buddies will be riding with us on Friday for his last ride.

Derek is survived by his Parents Cammy and Derek, Sister Aleisa and Brother in law Ryan
