The family of Bill Bothwell has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their hero’s final journey. We are honored to fulfill this request.
Our hero enlisted in the USAF in October 1971 and was honorably discharged October 1973 at the rank of A1C, E-3. After basic training at Lackland AFB, Bill worked at George AFB as a maintenance scheduling specialist working on the F-4. During his service he earned the National Defense Ribbon and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.
As a civilian, Bill worked primarily as an Electrician/Mechanic and Instrument Technician with Coastcast, Pacific Kiln, and Hoffman Engineering. His hobbies and interests included the outdoors, fishing, and traveling with his family. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes and enjoyed trains, both model and full scale.
Our hero leaves behind his loving wife, Kathleen; children, Heather, Ryan and Jennifer. He will also be missed by siblings, Pamela and Jennifer.
NOTE: The weather will be warm. Please take precautions and eat something light and keep hydrated.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum.
