The family of Anthony David Carson has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their hero to his Final Military Honors. It will be our privilege to fulfill their request.

Tony proudly served in the United States Army for 4 years and the United States Marine Corps for 16+ years from 1982-2003..  At the time of his retirement he held the rank of GYSGT (E-7).  His service included many career changes from infantryman to various communication specialties.  He earned ribbons including: NDSM (x2), Navy and Marine Commendation Medal x2, Good Conduct (x5), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal and South West Asia Service Medal and so many more that his DD-214 ran out of room to cite them all..

When he was younger he was ordained and ministered to friends and comrades. Following his service to America he continued to serve with the Marine Corps Community Services, Camp Pendleton. He was also a respected DJ and MC. He was President of the PTA and Temecula Dollars for Students. In the course of his event participation he met his wife, Karen, an event director. They have been together, then married for a total of 15 years.

Anthony is survived by that loving wife, Karen Marie, and their adult daughter, Anna. Our hero Is also survived by his four sisters: Karen, April, Candace, and Elizabeth, his two brothers: Monroe and Christian, and his stepfather Norm J. Broussard. He will also be missed by many in-laws and extended family, life-long friends, fellow servicemen and women, coworkers and students.

Our hero was preceded by his mother, Betty J. (Carson) Broussard and father, Monroe Rivers Sr., and his brother, Roosevelt Carson.

Note: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested and all PGR members are welcome. We will be accompanying the Hero and his family from the Church to the cemetery, approx. 3 miles. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. If you prefer to meet the procession at the cemetery, please feel free to do so.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
